Information we collect on this website
When you use our quote, contact, demo or support forms, we collect the details you enter: your name, company, phone number, email address, county, fleet size, the services you are interested in and any message you write.
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address.
Our web server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site secure and working. The website uses your browser's local storage only to remember whether a pop-up has already been shown; it does not use advertising cookies.
How we use your information
We use your details to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes, arrange demos and installations, provide support and, if you subscribed, send you our newsletter. We do not sell your personal data.
Legal basis
We process your data with your consent, which you give when you tick the consent box or subscribe, and where necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you.
Sharing
We share your data only with service providers who help us run this website and our email (for example, our hosting provider), and where the law requires it. These providers may only use it to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting customer relationship, and newsletter details until you unsubscribe.
Tracking and video services
Location, driving and video data collected by tracking devices and dashcams we install for customers is covered by the service agreement with that customer. Customers are responsible for informing their drivers and passengers about tracking and recording.
Your rights
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019 you have the right to be informed about how your data is used, to access it, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact info@tappitrack.co.ke. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
Security
We use HTTPS encryption on this website and limit access to personal data to staff who need it.
